The Click-Through Rate (CTR) is a metric in online marketing that indicates how often a link or an ad was clicked in relation to the number of views or impressions. It is usually expressed as a percentage and shows how successful an email, ad, or link is in capturing the user's attention and encouraging them to take action. A higher CTR typically means the content is relevant and engaging.
The formula to calculate the Click-Through Rate is:
CTR = (Number of clicks / Number of impressions) * 100
For example, if an email was opened 1,000 times and 50 clicks were made on links within the email, the CTR would be 5%.
